Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a rapidly growing Property Developer/Residential Construction Builder based in the buzzing area of London. Due to further expansion of their already successful portfolio of properties, they now need an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
The company develop, refurbish and manage properties to a high standard across London. The role will be commercial management for existing and upcoming residential developments from pre-contract to post-contract through to final accounts and sign off. The successful candidate will need to have experience as a quantity surveyor for residential developments, preferably from a developer background.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Tenders and procurement for sub-contract packages including pricing and quality
- Engage with existing and new supply chain partners to obtain pricing and quality information
- Assist in the development of the procurement programme
- Monitor and record the tender success rate and provide monthly reports to the Contracts Director in relation to Construction Services estimating outputs
- Provide input into risk profiling and management on contracts/projects
- Work on PQQ’s for new contracts
- Preparation of monthly forecasts/reports (such as CVR’s) for Directors
- Interim valuations and final accounts
- Value and authorise sub-contractor applications and payments for contracts director’s final approval
- Subcontractor variations
- Take off material procurement items
- Preparation of sub-contracts orders using JCT and bespoke templates
- Contract Administration
- Provide commercial advice to the site team about all project issues and project strategy
- Produce and negotiate insurance claims with insurers representatives
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in residential construction Quantity Surveying
- Degree in Building Surveying / Quantity Surveying
- Experienced in RC Frame construction
- Developer background
- Experience in high-end residential developments would be advantageous
- Commercial acumen
- Ability to work in a small and collaborative team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
